Her costar, Christopher Meloni has not yet announced whether or not he will be cross over, but has said on several occasions that he would like to. It is not currently clear whether they will become series regulars, or will just be filling in a guest role during their time on the show. Hargitay said that her storyline was actually inspired by her own work in victims advocacy.

“We are doing the show about the backlog of untested rape kits” she said.
It will be interesting to see how their pasts from “SVU” wave their way into the new “Law and Order: Los Angeles” storyline. Hargitay said that she was working to eliminate the backlog of rape test kits that sit on the shelf in a police facility after they have been used. She went on to say that the issue is a large one that is not really covered by the media or known by the general public. Ecreia Laki Perez tried to enter the Fulton County Courthouse but was stopped after her bag went through the security checkpoint’s conveyor belt, a Fulton County Sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

A Fulton Sheriff’s deputy noticed the .380 gun as well as a stun gun – disguised as a mobile phone – in Perez’s bag, spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan said.

Perez told authorities she forgot she had the two weapons in her bag.

Perez was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a weapon to a public gathering, Flanagan said. Each charge carries $3,000 bond, according to jail records.

Perez was held in the Fulton County Jail on $6,000 bond after she was arrested Tuesday afternoon.
